It was such a perfect day in December. While it rained hard the day before, we were blessed with cloudy skies, warm temperatures and even a few peeks of sunshine before Carey & Matt walked down the aisle at their beautiful Columbia, SC wedding.
To say Carey & Matt are a perfect couple is an understatement. From the very first time Carey reached out to me about photographing their wedding and told me about Matt and the story of how they met, I knew their wedding was going to be something special. Carey shared how Matt proposed to her in the intimacy of their home and made it something sacred between the both of them :) I saw glimpses of how they shared that same type of intimacy throughout their wedding day, especially as they exchanged personal vows during their first look.
Everything came together so beautifully for their wedding day. Between the gorgeous flowers provided by Petal & Vine in Columbia, to the venue of 701 Whaley, and down to the details of rentals provided by Party Reflections & Bee’s Vintage Rental, it was an elegant and beautiful affair. Sarah-Elizabeth and her team with Alexandra Madison Weddings were fabulous and took care of all of the in between details to make the day flow so well.
Carey & Matt had a fantastic wedding party! I loved seeing how many people supported them and loved on them well during their wedding day. One of the sweetest moments of the night was hearing Carey’s dad give a speech. Watching him tear up as he talked about his baby girl while offering encouraging words for a healthy marriage – “never going to bed angry” being some of them – made everyone in the room smile.
Carey & Matt – I am over-the-moon thrilled for you all and cannot thank you enough for asking me to document this special day for you. I wish you all the very best, and can’t wait to see what wonderful things await you as a couple! Congratulations!!
