When everyone says that 2020 has been quite the year, there’s definitely no mistaking that so much has happened in the world. Unfortunately, the news overall hasn’t been the greatest regarding COVID and everything associated with that, but I am happy that I got to see many bright spots amidst this crazy of the year.
Sara & Will were one of those bright spots, in that I got to share in their engagement earlier this fall. When I first talked to Sara, she described their relationship as a steady and even love. I could hear the affection she has for Will in her voice over the phone, and it was evident that they have something special going on.
Long before their engagement, and before they started dating, they were friends for many years. As time went on, and after a first date in Aiken, they decided they wanted to be something more.
Three years later, Will popped the question in a beautiful park, and now they’re planning their South Carolina wedding at The Heyward Manor in Ivy, SC!
The Engagement Session
What I loved about photographing this couple is that they were willing to laugh and have a lot of fun during their engagement session. They had never been to the Horseshoe in downtown Columbia, SC, and it was a perfect backdrop for their photos. Sara and Will were great, taking all of my prompts and laughing through the sweet sentiments they would talk about together or whisper into each other’s ears. We had a great time through everything! The result? Priceless smiles. laughs and all the sweet moments captured in between :)
A South Carolina Wedding in the works
I’m so excited to photograph their wedding in just a few months, and I have no doubt it will be a beautiful beginning to their story as a married couple. There’s nothing more special than a couple saying “I do” before all their loved ones. I can’t wait to share more about their special day!
